Monika Sharma completed her articles with McCuaig Desrochers and became an associate in July 2022.
Monika is currently working in various areas of law, but she mostly works in the areas of employment law, civil litigation, wills and estates, and adult guardianship and trusteeship.
Monika received her Juris Doctor from the University of Alberta in 2021. Prior to attending law school, Monika received her Bachelor of Commerce with Distinction from the University of Alberta in 2018.
Monika is committed to being engaged in her community. During law school, Monika volunteered with the Mental Health and Wellness Committee, the Edmonton Community Legal Centre, and the Faculty of Law’s Recruitment Committee. During her undergraduate degree, she volunteered extensively with the Network of Empowered Women Business Conference.
Monika has refined her analytical and communication skills through her previous work experiences, including working as a research assistant for the Alberta Land Institute and working as policy and research summer student for the Government of Alberta.
Outside of work, Monika enjoys pottery, tennis and spending time in the mountains.
